The Women of Nurdağı, Healing Through Production
After the 6 February earthquake, women who came together in Nurdağı founded their cooperative in 2023. Today its 12 women partners are growing hope again through what they produce.
The cooperative makes spices, jams and sun-dried vegetables, with tomato and pepper paste and red pepper flakes at the forefront, and brings them to buyers through social media, fairs and delicatessen sales points.
Supported by KEDV, Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality and the İKA project, and trained in digitalisation and sales management, the women are growing stronger both economically and socially.
