Şırnak

Şırnak begins at the foothills of Cudi Mountain. In spring, the plains burst into green and the plateaus open; in winter, those same slopes retreat into silence. Cizre, on the banks of the Tigris River, is renowned as an ancient center of learning and literature.

In this region, weaving and handicrafts are learned through the patience of long winters. Today, cooperatives are transforming that patience into a brand.
